Europcar Australia seeks a Demand Forecast & Capacity Analyst to join the Revenue Capacity Management (RCM) team at its head office in Tullamarine, Victoria. Reporting to the Head of Revenue and Capacity, you will track, analyse and forecast customer demand across rental locations, vehicle categories and customer segments, using data‑driven insights to optimise fleet utilisation, maximise revenue performance and support commercial decision‑making in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain and refine short‑ and medium‑term demand forecasts by location, vehicle category and booking channel.
- Monitor daily pick‑up and booking curves to identify deviations from historical trends, seasonal patterns, or forecast targets.
- Build rapid, ad‑hoc reports to investigate sudden market anomalies, localised demand drops or the revenue impact of tactical fleet movements.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑check‑out audits to identify and evaluate revenue opportunities.
- Work with fleet and capacity teams to align vehicle supply with anticipated demand, highlighting potential shortages or over‑supply situations at specific branches.
- Partner with Capacity and Fleet Operations using predictive reports to advise on optimal fleet distribution across airport vs. city and suburban branches based on historical performance and targets.




- Identify low‑demand periods or under‑performing vehicle classes and recommend tactical promotions or marketing interventions to stimulate demand.

Qualifications

- Experience in the car rental or travel industry is highly advantageous.
- 2–4 years experience in data analytics, revenue management, forecasting or business intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or a related quantitative field.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (SAP Business Objects, Power BI or Qlik Sense).
- Analytical thinker with attention to detail.
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work within tight deadlines.
- Assertive, proactive and innovative approach to tasks.
