ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne and reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of Residential New Build/Estate construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
As the key client contact, you'll lead project planning, commercial management and stakeholder engagement while mentoring and developing your project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of residential new estate projects from tender handover through to completion.
- Manage project budgets, profitability, procurement and financial performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
- Oversee contract administration, progress claims, variations and extensions of time.
- Lead project planning, programming and resource allocation.
- Monitor project performance through KPI reporting and cost reviews.
- Ensure compliance with safety,
environmental and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and business processes.
- Mentor, coach and develop Project Engineers and site teams.
- Foster a positive, high-performing culture focused on collaboration, accountability and excellence.
ABOUT YOU
You're a confident leader with a passion for delivering quality outcomes and building solid relationships. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex challenges and know how to motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
You'll bring:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil preferred).
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Proven experience managing civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract administration and project financial management.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- A thorough understanding of civil construction practices, procurement, estimating and project planning.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- High-level communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
