About the role: An exciting opportunity is available to complete Advanced Training in Cardiology at Flinders Medical Centre, with a rotation to the Royal Darwin Hospital.

The Advanced Trainee in Cardiology provides clinical services of the highest possible standard to inpatients and outpatients of Flinders Medical Centre. The position also contributes to clinical teaching, research and service development within the unit. Duties for the role will include: Provide appropriate clinical care to patients Coordinate the follow up care of patients Active involvement in teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, residents,



interns and medical students Provide appropriate supervision to Junior Medical Officers, Residents and Intern Medical Staff Participate in programs designed to provide personal growth and development

About you: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. Previous experience in providing comprehensive and confidential office management function in a large health orientated organisation Ability to work within broadly defined guidelines and exercise a degree of autonomy in the discharge of duties requiring limited direction Understanding of basic ethical and legal issues of duty of care and practice in health care settings Previous experience in providing comprehensive and confidential office management function in a large health orientated organisation Demonstrates effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Works effectively within multidisciplinary teams Communication skills, both oral and in writing, to enable effective services to be delivered to a diverse range of clients with varying needs Please see the attached Role Description for additional information. As per the SMOEA 2022,



the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years.
