About the Region

The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. About the role

Based in Kingaroy

Permanent - Full Time

$81K - $93K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee the delivery of maintenance and construction activities sealed and unsealed road networks, along with other transport assets, ensuring works are completed in line with agreed service levels. The role is responsible for supervising and optimising the performance of a Works maintenance team undertaking routine, planned and reactive activities across the networks. The Supervisor will offer the crew effective guidance, training, support and performance management to enable consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes. The Supervisor will plan, prioritise and implement both Operational and Capital works programs, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard. The successful applicant will bring demonstrated experience working within the road corridor in a local government or civil construction environment,



along with proven leadership skills in supervising and coordinating multiple teams to meet project deadlines and maximise workforce performance.

Mandatory Qualifications

Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence

General Safety Induction for Construction Worker (White Card)

Certificate III Civil Construction with relevant experience and competence to perform the duties.

Desirable Qualifications

Certificate IV Civil Construction (or willing to obtain)

Certificate/ training within project management, leadership

Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Parts 1 & 2 (or willing to obtain)

Skills and experience

**Please address the following key selection criteria items below, as part of your application**

Relevant experience undertaking works within the road corridor in a Local Government / Civil Construction workplace

Proven leadership skills supervising and coordinating multiple teams to meet project deadlines and maximise performance.

Sound level of literacy, numeracy and communication skills.

Sound computer skills with knowledge of the MS Office Suite and the ability to acquire knowledge of Council’s corporate software systems.

Proven ability to complete and implement project management plans, resource procurement plans and a forward work program with a high degree of autonomy.
