Deputy Manager– Lead with Compassion, Grow with Purpose
(Full-Time)
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team and support the delivery of exceptional care to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Health needs in Southport. This is a key leadership role where you will work alongside the Service Manager to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance , and the ongoing development of staff and service standards . About The Role
As a Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the Service Manager with the day-to-day management of the service.
- Ensure the service is appropriately staffed and operates in line with individuals' assessed needs.
- Oversee and maintain regulatory compliance (CQC, H&S;, Safeguarding) and contribute to internal audits.
- Support with recruitment, onboarding, induction, and training of new staff.
- Manage supervisions, appraisals, and day-to-day performance of team members.
- Promote a positive and transparent working culture and model best practice across the service.
- Ensure person-centred care plans are regularly reviewed, up to date, and reflective of individual needs.
- Provide direct care and support when needed and lead the consistency of care across the service.
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including families, healthcare professionals, and commissioners.
- Monitor and support financial performance, including rota management, petty cash control, and budgeting tasks.
- Use internal systems including PeopleHR, Deputy, Nourish, Radar, Iplicit, and JobTrain to maintain accurate records.
Essential
What We’re Looking For
- Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, or Mental Health conditions.
- Solid understanding of CQC, H&S;, and Safeguarding regulations.
- Experience working in complex care environments.
- Confident in people management, team leadership, and performance management.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and IT skills.
- Able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
Preferable
- Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
- Knowledge of community engagement, mentoring, and change management.
- Financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation experience.
- Advanced IT and systems management skills.
- Awareness of diversity, inclusion, and cultural understanding in care.
