Shailer Racing The role is full time, and the successful applicant will work with either stallions, broodmares, foals, young stock and/or yearlings. We are looking for a motivated, determined & experienced individual who has professional horse stud experience.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of industry best practice, with either international experience or a thorough understanding of the global trends of the thoroughbred industry.

Teaching horses to walk, stand and parade correctly Parade and caring for horses at sales Overseeing daily care and supervision of horses such as bathing, cutting, blow-drying etc. Re-educating horses to resolve problems such as biting and kicking Qualification & experience

All applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of full time professional experience in the role or a relevant qualification and at least 12 months full time professional experience in the role. In addition, the following will be required: Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred breeding Proven ability to train and educate young horses Proven as reliable workers, with excellent horsemanship skills Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment

About Company

Shailer Racing is a racehorse training establishment created by Paul Shailer- located at a brand current, purpose built equine centre at the Gold Coast Turf Club.

Paul has over 25 years experience in the racing industry, starting as an apprentice jockey in Recent Zealand before becoming assistant trainer to Chris Waller in Sydney.
