At Benowa Hills Early Learning Centre, part of Childcare Centre's of Excellence Pty Ltd, we strive to give the children in our care a diverse range of experiences, create strong connections and relationships and help them acquire a wealth of recent skills and knowledge through our play-based curriculum.

Our play-based curriculum is designed to nurture strong connections, foster inclusivity, and encourage exploration of their surroundings. We understand and implement the importance of inclusivity in all aspects of learning and allow child led moments, connecting with their natural surroundings and following their interests. This is all fueled by nutritionist approved and designed seasonal menus with fresh, local produce sourced daily to support their developing bodies.

We’re looking for an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT), who is a natural at engaging with children, families and their Educator peers. Benowa Hills has supportive Leaders that fully understand your journey as an ECT and the challenges any ECT may face throughout their day-to-day work in preparing children for school.

The responsibilities we expect for this role are as follows:

- Lead, guide and support a team which provides high-quality early childhood education and care;
- Maintains a child safe enviroment, supporting children's daily routines, and ensuring their well-being at all times.
- Working in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care;
- Working in accordance with the Code of Ethics & Working in accordance with the services Code of Conduct;
- Implementing and upholding the Centre's’ philosophy while undertaking all duties;




- Facilitating the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service;
- Keep up to date with relevant theoretical practices and apply where directed;
- Maintain and uphold Workplace Health and Safety;
- Maintain and uphold privacy and confidentiality;
- Providing ongoing support and assistance to other staff in all areas of service operation;
- Providing ongoing support and assistance to the Director and Approved Provider/Management Committee;
- Ensure you have a sound understanding of the expectations outlined in this document to enable work performance to be executed according to our Centre standards.
- Thorough knowledge of the EYLF and QKLG
- An ability to embed play-based emergent learning within the curriculum and articulate its importance during conversations with parents.
- Planning, preparing, conducting and supervising learning activities & daily programs based on each child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support the implementation of daily routines and ensure children’s individual needs are met
- Managing children's behaviour and guiding children's social development

What you need to apply:

- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification) OR Bachelor of Primary Teaching with approved diploma level qualification or enrolled and studying toward
- has at least 3 year's experience in Early Years Sector.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis Certificate.
- Current Child Protection Training Certificate and New Child Safe Training Certificate.
- A love for children and a desire to make childcare a long-term career
