The Role

We are seeking an experienced Retail Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail store in Kununurra.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising staff, coordinating daily store operations, maintaining merchandising and presentation standards, managing stock and cash handling processes, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful applicant will be capable of working independently, leading by example and contributing to the continued success of our regional retail operations.

Salary: $74,000 – $75,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the retail store in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead, coach and support Retail Assistants to achieve high standards of customer service and operational performance.
- Coordinate staff rosters and assist with onboarding and training of recent employees.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Process retail sales using POS and EFTPOS systems.
- Complete daily cash reconciliation,



banking and cash handling procedures.
- Receive, check and organise incoming stock deliveries.
- Maintain stock levels, conduct stocktakes and monitor inventory accuracy.
- Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation standards are maintained.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised workplace.
- Process customer returns and refunds in accordance with company procedures.
- Complete store reporting, administrative tasks and timesheets accurately and on time.li>
- Use POS, inventory management and Microsoft Office software to support store operations.

Skills and Experience

- Minimum two years' experience in a retail supervisory or retail management position. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff within a retail environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with cash handling, banking and reconciliation procedures. Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and management.
- Willingness to work a rotating roster, including weekends where required.
- Commitment to working respectfully with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Willingness to live and work in Kununurra, a regional location in the West Kimberley.

Desirable Experience

- Desirable experience working in regional or remote retail environments.
- Experience using inventory management and stock control systems.
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable but not essential).

Pre-Employment Requirements

- National Police Check (acceptable outcome).
- Valid right to work in Australia, or willingness to participate in an employer-sponsored visa program where eligible.
