We're looking for a capable and practical infrastructure leader who enjoys delivering results through people, projects and partnerships.

You will bring:

- Extensive experience in civil infrastructure, road construction, maintenance or related engineering environments
- Proven success leading infrastructure projects, capital works programs and operational teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and support high-performing teams
- Experience managing contractors, budgets, procurement and project delivery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Sound judgement, problem-solving ability and a practical approach to achieving outcomes
- A current Class C Driver Licence
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in local government, regional infrastructure or public sector environments.
- Knowledge of NSW local government legislation, procurement and contract management requirements.
- Experience with asset management, GIS, project management or corporate reporting systems.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Essential - Significant experience in civil infrastructure delivery, with strong technical knowledge of road construction, road maintenance, drainage and associated civil assets (please provide details and/or examples) *
- Essential - Proven capability in leading the delivery of capital works, maintenance programs and civil construction activities in a complex operating environment (please provide details and/or examples) *
- Essential - Solid project management skills, including budget preparation, scheduling, resource planning, risk management, performance monitoring and reporting (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Essential - Demonstrated ability to lead, support and develop staff, build team capability and foster a safe, accountable and high-performing work culture (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Essential - Experience managing contractors and consultants, including procurement,



contract administration, performance monitoring and quality assurance (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Essential - Demonstrated commitment to Work Health and Safety, environmental management, quality systems and risk-based decision-making (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Essential - Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, briefings and recommendations for management and Council (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Essential - Sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical, financial, operational and community considerations (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Licence class, number and expiry *

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

- Desirable - Experience in a local government, regional infrastructure or public sector civil works environment (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Desirable - Knowledge of NSW local government procurement, tendering and contract management requirements, including the Local Government Act 1993 and associated regulations (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Desirable - Understanding of relevant roads, planning, environmental and infrastructure legislation, including the Roads Act 1993 and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Desirable - Contemporary asset management knowledge, particularly as it relates to roads, drainage, bridges and civil infrastructure renewal (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Desirable - Experience developing and implementing quality assurance systems, service level improvements and continuous improvement initiatives (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
- Desirable - Experience using project management, asset management, GIS, works management or corporate reporting systems (please ensure you provide details and/or examples) *
