About the job
We are seeking a Payroll and HR Administrator to join our Perth team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong payroll background who also enjoys or is keen to develop generalist HR skills. You will work closely with the wider HR team to deliver accurate payroll services and support HR operations across the employee lifecycle.
This is a hands on, varied role with approximately 60 percent payroll responsibilities and 40 percent HR administration, contributing to the smooth running of our people operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
- Processing fortnightly payroll for Australia and Europe
- Reviewing payroll data and reports to ensure accuracy
- Ensuring timely submission of employee changes and payroll updates
- Supporting payroll reconciliations, audits and compliance with awards, legislation and internal controls
- Contributing to payroll process improvements that reduce risk and increase efficiency
HR Administration
- Preparing employment contracts, variations and related documentation
- Managing onboarding and offboarding processes
- Coordinating probation reviews and employment changes
- Maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS
- Conducting regular data audits and validation checks
- Generating HR reports and metrics to support workforce planning, compliance and leadership reporting
- Identifying trends and insights to inform process and policy improvements
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing
- Experience using Definitiv or similar payroll or HRIS systems is an advantage
- HR generalist experience or a willingness to learn and grow in HR
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills and a people first approach
