The Opportunity
This is a newly created role offering the successful applicant an opportunity to build the College’s advancement function from the ground up.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you will develop and deliver initiatives that strengthen enrolments, improve student and family retention, engage the College’s alumni community and generate new sources of income.
A key priority will be establishing a more structured philanthropic model, creating meaningful opportunities for Old Collegians and other members of the College community to contribute to its future.
The role would suit a commercially minded relationship-builder who can balance strategy with hands-on delivery and is motivated by the opportunity to create something with lasting impact.
What you will be leading
- Building and maintaining a strong domestic enrolment pipeline across all year levels
- Supporting initiatives that strengthen student and family retention
- Developing a long-term advancement and philanthropic strategy
- Building stronger relationships with alumni, Old Collegians and the wider College community
- Identifying opportunities for fundraising,
partnerships and other income-generating initiatives
- Working collaboratively with the Head of Marketing to ensure enrolment, communication and engagement activities are aligned
- Establishing the systems, processes and measures required to support a sustainable advancement function
What you will need
- Experience across advancement, fundraising, philanthropy, enrolments, business development or a related area
- A demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop income-generating opportunities
- The capacity to develop strategy while remaining actively involved in implementation
- Excellent communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational capability and the confidence to establish recent systems and ways of working
- An understanding of the education or not-for-profit environment would be highly regarded
- A genuine alignment with the values and purpose of Catholic education
