Birrigan Gargle Local Aboriginal Land Council (BGLALC) is seeking a agile and experienced Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and guide the organisation in delivering strong outcomes for the community.
This is a significant leadership role responsible for overseeing the organisation's strategic direction, operational performance, and cultural integrity. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board, staff, and community to ensure sustainable growth and effective service delivery.
About the Role
The CEO will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership and organisational direction
- Ensuring strong financial management and accountability
- Leading human resources and organisational development
- Supporting effective governance and compliance
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
- Upholding and embedding cultural values across the organisation
Key Requirements
We are seeking a senior executive with:
- Demonstrated experience in executive leadership roles
- Strong financial management and governance capability
- Proven experience in human resources leadership
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Extensive experience working with Aboriginal communities and organisations
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly in relation to Local Aboriginal Land Councils
