This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026

Yanchep Secondary College (SC) opened in 2018 in a brand new purpose built school. We offer a broad, high level curriculum encompassing academic programs and vocational courses to provide students with opportunities to pursue learning interests that inspire and challenge them. We enrol students from year 7 to year 12.

Our school has specialist teachers, a challenging curriculum that inspires excellence, and many options and pathways for students to succeed, including university, further training, or employment. The college is part of the Metropolitan Teaching Program for hard to staff schools. Teaching staff receive an additional allowance on top of their normal conditions.

The Role

As a key member of the administrative team, you will work closely with the Principal to provide educational leadership both within the school and the broader community. Your primary focus should be on developing and promoting the school's vision, encouraging active participation from school staff, community volunteers, and other stakeholders, all within the context of science learning area.

In your capacity as a curriculum leader, you will play a crucial role in providing professional guidance to teachers, ensuring that they stay informed on relevant curriculum issues within your designated area. You would be instrumental in facilitating teaching and learning outcomes, employing effective performance management strategies, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement among the school's academic community.

A key aspect of your role may involve implementing change management strategies to lead the school community in accepting and developing opportunities for improved service within your specified subject area. Your contributions would extend to the collaborative development of the school plan, involving participative decision-making, policy development, and the establishment of necessary systems.

Eligibility
