Reporting to the Youth and Community Connections Coordinator, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a broad community wellbeing portfolio, including:
- Community Grants
- Volunteering and volunteer governance
- Service Navigation
- Homelessness initiatives and partnerships
- Community development and social inclusion projects
- Strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement
You’ll lead staff, drive continuous improvement, strengthen governance and help ensure Banyule continues to deliver high-quality, responsive services that support an inclusive, healthy and connected community. Flexibility in working hours to support occasional delivery of community activities outside of normal business hours (evenings, weekends) will be required.

- Experience leading and supporting teams to achieve positive outcomes.
- A collaborative and people-focused leadership style.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in community development, human services, social policy, local government or a related field.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complexity with confidence.
- A commitment to valuable governance, continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
- Excellent communication, project management and problem‑solving skills.
Pre‑Employment Requirements
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Working with Children check.
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.

- Salary from $113,252.44 to $126,351.47 (dependent on experience) per annum plus super.
