What you will be doing
The Workers Compensation Claims Administration Officer plays a vital role in assisting with the processing and management of workers' compensation claims. This position involves administrative support, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent customer service to injured employees and stakeholders. Working as part of a collaborative claims team, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure workers' compensation claims are managed efficiently, accurately and in line with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate claim records, coordinating medical appointments, and liaising with injured workers, medical providers and other stakeholders to facilitate timely communication and positive outcomes. With a strong focus on customer service, you will respond to enquiries professionally, support compliance activities including audits and reviews, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the claims function. You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing training and team initiatives, helping to build capability and support continuous improvement across the team.
The skills you’ll bring
- Education:
Higher School Certificate or above.
- Experience: Previous experience in workers' compensation claims management or a related field is a plus. Familiarity with insurance processes and regulations is beneficial.
- Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Strong customer service orientation.
