Western Work Force is seeking an experienced Senior SMP Estimator to join a well-established organisation based in Applecross.

Working from the head office, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) projects across the mining, resources and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for SMP projects.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and client scopes of work.
- Complete quantity take-offs and develop accurate labour, material, plant and subcontractor pricing.
- Source, obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Develop project methodologies, tender clarifications, assumptions and exclusions.
- Identify project risks and opportunities throughout the tender process.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders during bid preparation.
- Support successful project handovers to the delivery team following contract award.
- Maintain estimating databases and contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes.

About You:





- Proven experience estimating SMP projects within the mining, resources, industrial or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, industrial construction practices and SMP methodologies.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Excellent understanding of labour productivity, material pricing, subcontractor management and project costing.
- Strong analytical, organisational and negotiation skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tenders while meeting strict deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
