ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly capable and commercially astute Head of Operations to lead operational performance across Apex Radiology and act as the deputy to the General Manager.This is a senior leadership role with broad scope across multiple sites, where you will drive operational excellence, lead high-performing teams, and ensure consistent service delivery across both metropolitan and regional WA.
You will play a critical role in translating strategy into execution, supporting business performance, and providing solid, steady leadership across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day operations across Apex Radiology's multi-site networkAct as Deputy to the General Manager, representing the GM in key forums and decisionsDrive performance across patient access, workflow efficiency, utilisation, and turnaround timesLead, coach, and develop Site Managers and operational leaders to build a high-performance cultureSupport delivery of financial outcomes, including productivity, cost control, and EBIT performancePartner with clinical leaders to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and service consistencyEnsure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standardsStrengthen relationships with referrers, WA health stakeholders, and regional partnersLead operational improvement initiatives across both metro and regional services
ABOUT YOU




Proven experience in a senior multi-site operations leadership role (radiology will be highly regarded)Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted deputy / second-in-commandStrong commercial and financial acumen, with a track record of delivering performance outcomesA people-focused leader with experience building capable, accountable teamsStrong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with clinical teams and external partnersExperience leading operational improvement and change initiativesDemonstrated strategic planning and project management.A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with high levels of resilience and judgment
Highly regarded:
Experience and/or qualifications in radiology, diagnostic imaging, or healthcare servicesUnderstanding of regional service delivery and WA healthcare environmentFamiliarity with billing, compliance, and patient administration processes
