Your new role

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering effective Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) managerial and technical support across Sims facilities throughout the WA region. You will develop, implement, and evaluate risk management programs that ensure a safe and healthy workplace - helping to embed safety as a lived value, not just a compliance requirement.

What You'll Be Doing

Identifying hazards and assessing risks, including chemical, physical, and process-related hazardsDeveloping, implementing, and reviewing environmental health and OHS management plansMonitoring and managing programs to minimise workplace and environmental impactsLeading root-cause analysis for significant WHS/EHS non-conformances and providing high-level risk ratings to support data-driven decision-makingAct as the primary point of contact for regulators, customers,



and vendors regarding inspections and EHS dataManaging worker's compensation claims and return-to-work process

About You

Tertiary qualification in Environment, Health & Safety (or equivalent work experience)2-4 years’ experience advising on safety and health in a high-hazard workplace; exposure to environmental compliance is highly regardedDemonstrated capability in WHS incident investigation and return to work processesStrong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skillsCurrent driver's licence and willingness to travel across Western Australia as required
