A leading national accounting and advisory firm is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join its growing Business Services team in Perth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience across a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, working closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of industries and entity structures while building strong technical accounting and taxation skills.
The Role Working as part of an established Business Services team, you will support clients with their ongoing accounting, taxation and compliance requirements while developing trusted client relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a diverse portfolio of SME and private business clients.
- Completing BAS, FBT and payroll tax returns.
- Assisting clients with day-to-day accounting and business compliance matters.
- Building strong relationships by delivering high-quality client service.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider practice.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the broader growth of the team.
About You To be successful, you will have:
- A degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Finance (or equivalent).
- CA qualification completed, underway or an intention to commence.
- At least 18 months' experience within Business Services or Tax in a Chartered Accounting environment.
- Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive, client-focused approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly regarded:
- Previous experience using Xero.
