- Structured supervision and mentoring from experienced clinicians
- Not-for-profit organisation with salary packaging perks
- Clinic-based NDIS caseload with optional community visits

Start your Speech Pathology career in a genuinely supportive environment. Our client is a small, purpose-driven not-for-profit service in Penrith, supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents through NDIS-funded services.

They’re looking for a New Graduate or Junior Speech Pathologist to join their close-knit multidisciplinary team from January 2026. You’ll receive regular supervision, practical mentoring and a supported introduction to your caseload—without being expected to know everything from day one.

Start date: January 2026

- Location: Penrith
- Caseload: Neurodivergent children and adolescents
- Work model: Predominantly clinic-based
- Community visits: Optional, depending on your confidence and interests
- Organisation: Not-for-profit with salary packaging available
- Team: Small, collaborative and multidisciplinary

Benefits

- Support designed for new graduates: Receive regular supervision, mentoring and guidance as you develop your clinical skills and confidence.
- Gradual caseload development: Build your caseload at a manageable pace with support from experienced clinicians.
- Meaningful clinical work: Help neurodivergent children and adolescents strengthen their communication skills through evidence-informed, neurodiversity-affirming therapy.
- Close-knit multidisciplinary team: Work alongside clinicians who share ideas, discuss cases and support one another.
- Family-centred practice: Learn how to coach families, carers and educators using practical strategies that support progress outside the clinic.
- Clinic-based role: Enjoy the consistency of working primarily from one location, with community visits available if you’re comfortable.
- Student-friendly environment: Join a service experienced in supporting students and early-career clinicians.

- Not-for-profit benefits: Access salary packaging to help increase your take-home pay.
- Long-term development: Build strong foundations with opportunities to grow within the Speech Pathology team over time.

About the role

As a New Graduate or Junior Speech Pathologist, you will:

- Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents with diverse communication needs
- Complete assessments, therapy planning, case notes and NDIS reports with support
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinic
- Participate in structured supervision and MDT discussions
- Support families, carers and educators with practical communication strategies
- Develop your knowledge of autism-specific and neurodiversity-affirming practice
- Gradually build your caseload as your confidence and experience grow
- Contribute to community education and advocacy initiatives when appropriate

Hours and structure

The clinic offers flexible client-facing hours, with morning and afternoon appointments and dedicated opportunities for collaboration during the day.

The team understands that new graduates need time to learn, ask questions and develop their clinical reasoning. They’ll work with you to create a structure that supports both your development and the needs of your clients.

Team culture

This is not a large corporate clinic focused solely on numbers. The organisation intentionally remains small, values-led and clinician-friendly.
You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, share ideas and develop your own clinical interests while receiving support from a team that genuinely wants you to succeed.

Requirements

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Eligible for Speech Pathology Australia membership
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- A genuine interest in supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents
- Drive and have a car
