Penrith

Lead a neurodiversity-affirming team. Keep a meaningful caseload. Make a real impact.

Our client is a small, purpose-driven autism service in Penrith, supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents through 100% NDIS funded services. They’re looking for a Senior Speech Pathologist to step into a key leadership role and help shape clinical excellence in a genuinely multidisciplinary setting.

The key details

- Salary: Competitive from $110K - $130K
- Caseload & model: Clinic-based with optional community visits if you’re comfortable
- Additional benefit: NFP with salary packaging provided

Benefits

- Purpose-led caseload: Support neurodivergent children and adolescents with evidence-informed therapy and capacity-building strategies that translate into real, everyday progress.
- Family & stakeholder impact: Use your expertise to coach families, carers and key supports with practical tools that help outcomes stick beyond the clinic room.
- True team-based practice: Be part of a small allied health team that prioritises shared problem-solving, coordinated planning and regular collaboration
- Hands-on senior influence: A senior role where your clinical judgement shapes the Speech Pathology function, supports service direction, and still keeps you clinically active.
- Mentoring & student support: Guide clinicians and contribute to a strong placement program, with opportunities to mentor and develop others.

About the role

As the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will:

- Provide 1:1 therapy tailored to individual communication needs (children & adolescents)
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary clinic model, including structured MDT time
- Support and empower families, carers, and educators with practical strategies
- Mentor and supervise clinicians and students
- Drive best-practice approaches aligned with autism-specific, neurodiversity-affirming care
- Participate in advocacy and education initiatives within the local community

Hours & structure:

Flexible client-facing hours, with morning + afternoon appointments and MDT collaboration in the middle. They’re versatile and will work with you to find a rhythm that fits your needs and the team’s.

Team culture

This is not a clinic trying to become a corporate juggernaut. They intentionally remain small, values-led, and clinician-friendly, with flexibility built around the reality that people work differently.

Requirements/Skills

- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- SPA membership
- Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
