As an experienced Underground Drill Fitter with Westfill, you will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and will be responsible for:
- Performing servicing, troubleshooting, and major repairs on underground drill rigs and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to apprentices and tradespeople as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts usage.
- Work effectively in a team and contribute to a strong safety culture.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in underground drilling maintenance.
- Equipment Knowledge: Experience with Sandvik (DD421, DL421, DL431, DD422i)
- Technical Skills:
Solid mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic abilities.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, teamwork, and adaptability to remote environments.
