SCOPE: To assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities and supervision of students. QUALIFICATIONS PARAPROFESSIONAL I (GRADE 18): EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED: • High School diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher. • Experience working with children with disabilities. • Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.



• Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually. PARAPROFESSIONAL II (GRADE 19): EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED: • Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required. • Experience working with children with disabilities. • Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually. • Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: REQUIRED: • Valid State Driver’s license.
