Part-Time Store Person

Location: Western Sydney Area (Penrith), Australia
Employment Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)

Schedule: Ideally 3 days per week (flexibility to work over 2 days for the right candidate)
Compensation: $32 - $36 AUD hourly + Superannuation

Smith & Loveless is seeking a Part-Time store person to support the continued growth of our municipal and industrial wastewater treatment business throughout Australia and New Zealand.

This position is being added as part of the continued expansion of Smith & Loveless AU and NZ operations and will often work independently and play an significant role in supporting warehouse operations, inventory management, and customer deliveries. This position may be particularly well suited to a semi-retired tradesperson or experienced warehouse professional looking for flexible part time work.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workday and takes pride in maintaining an organized warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, inspect, unpack, and label incoming deliveries

- Prepare, pack, and dispatch outbound shipments

- Assemble spare parts and components for customer orders

- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse

- Coordinate with suppliers and fabrication partners regarding deliveries and collections

- Arrange freight bookings and liaise with transport companies

- Prepare shipping documentation using basic computer systems

- Assist with inventory control and stock organization

- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently





- Perform manual handling and lifting as required

Preferred Qualifications

- Current Australian Driver Licence

- Current High Risk Work Licence (LF Forklift Licence)

- Previous warehouse, stores, logistics, or manufacturing experience

- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks

- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and shipping documentation)

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Excellent reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude

- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Preferred Experience

- Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems

- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial equipment, or spare parts environments

- Knowledge of freight and transport coordination
