Carevo is a curated availability directory that connects occupational therapists with NDIS and aged care providers across Australia. As an occupational therapist registered with Carevo you will work directly with providers who contact you when your profile matches their needs. You have the freedom to choose which referrals you accept and to set your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct functional assessments to determine how a participant’s disability or health condition affects daily activities such as moving, cooking, bathing, working, studying, or community engagement.
- Develop recommendations that may include home modification plans, assistive technology prescriptions, therapy programs targeting functional goals, and reports for NDIS planning meetings.
- Perform home visits to assess the physical environment and the person, providing realistic recommendations for improvements.
- Write detailed reports for NDIS planners, support coordinators, providers, and families to inform funding and support decisions.
- Work autonomously in community and home settings across a broad range of conditions such as physical disability, intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, mental health diagnoses, and age‑related decline.

Provider Expectations

- Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration with no conditions.
- Professional indemnity insurance.




- NDIS Worker Screening clearance (and Working With Children Check for work with participants under 18).
- Experience with NDIS reporting and assistive technology prescription is highly valued.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an AHPRA‑approved program.
- Competence in functional assessment across a range of conditions and age groups.
- Experience writing NDIS reports, home modification recommendations, and assistive technology prescriptions.
- Ability to work autonomously in community and home settings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with NDIS participants or aged care clients (preferred).
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

Checks and Credentials

- Annual AHPRA registration renewal (approx. $132).
- State‑specific requirements (valid 5 years, 4–8 weeks processing, $110–$160).
- Police Check (valid 3 years, $50–$80, often issued within days).
- Skilled indemnity insurance renewal (annual, $100–$500).

Pay Range

- Weekday: $40–$65 per hour
- Saturday: $60–$98 per hour
- Sunday: $70–$114 per hour
- Public holiday: $80–$130 per hour
- Casual employees receive a 25% loading on award minimum rates; many allied health professionals are paid above‑award salaries.
