Financial and Management Accountant | Broome, Karratha or Port Hedland

This is an exciting opportunity to join North Regional TAFE and live in one of the most pristine, remote and exciting regions in our State.

We are seeking a Financial and Management Accountant to lead the delivery of high-quality financial accounting, reporting, compliance and financial management services across the College.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based at our Broome, Karratha or Port Hedland campus.

As the Financial and Management Accountant, you will oversee the College’s financial accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, taxation, cash management and statutory reporting. You will manage end-of-period processes, prepare and analyse financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting activities, ensure compliance with accounting and taxation requirements, and provide specialist financial advice to senior stakeholders. You will also play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting audits, overseeing high-value and high-risk contract matters, and leading the performance of the finance services team.

We are looking for people who are strategic, analytical and detail-oriented, with strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will be committed to maintaining financial integrity, driving continuous improvement,



ensuring compliance with legislative and policy requirements, and delivering high-quality financial services in a complex organisational environment.

What we offer

- Relocation allowance between $6,500 and $8,500 depending on locality, if relocating from another region within Western Australia.
- Subsidised Housing with rent from $264 - $532 weekly depending on the category of the property (subject to availability and eligibility).
- District Allowance from $7,436 - $18,898 per annum.
