Job Description

Join Anglicare WA’sStudent Wellbeing Service where you will engage with students through a wide range of school-based activities, provide support for students to connect with qualified staff within the school, outreach to disengaged students and their families, support young people to access and connect with community based services, andfacilitate school wellbeing workshops or programs.

This is a max-term, part-time opportunity (2 days per week) until Jan 2027, based in Tom Price.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You will bring energy, enthusiasm and a desire to have impact. You will have:

- Cert IV in Youth Work, other relevant Cert IV or tertiary qualification that permits registration as a counsellor, teacher, social worker, psychologist, nurse or midwife.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic school environment
- Have contemporary knowledge of the issues impacting children and young people
- Ability to accept, respect and work with children and young people:
- from a broad range of backgrounds and abilities
- from different cultures, particularly with Aboriginal & CaLD young people
- who may identify as LGBTQIA+
- from all belief systems

- Understanding of education system
- Ability to facilitate small groups

The successful candidate must also posses a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check from Dpt.



of Education no older than 12 months. Please note that the organisation may seek to request an international police clearance if necessary.

Remuneration and benefits

- Employed under Anglicare WA’s Employee Collective Agreement
- Contract length – to 29 January 2027
- Work only during school terms
- From $44.59 + 10% Remote localities allowance + 12% super + annual leave and personal leave (accrued based on hours worked)
- Pay for hours worked (+ accrued annual leave) is spread across the entire term of employment contract, ensuring a pay every fortnight
- Additional remuneration for induction training and required professional development
- Salary Packaging Benefits (package up to $15,900 per annum)
