Job Description

SuperChem Busselton Pharmacy is a regional town located in the South-West of Western Australia and is part of the SuperChem Pharmacy group. The pharmacy strives to excel in customer service of the local community whilst always maintaining a competitive price advantage. Key duties will include:

- Receiving prescriptions, checking patients' medication histories, and ensuring optimal dosage and methods of administration and drug compatibility before dispensing.
- Checking prescriptions prepared by dispense technicians.
- Counseling patients on the optimal and safe use of medication.
- When necessary preparing and, if required, supervising the preparation and labelling of liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets and other medications for compounded prescriptions.
- Assisting in advising prescribers on drug incompatibility and contraindications.
- Reviewing and monitoring the medicine therapy of individual patients, and assessing the effectiveness of the total medicine therapy.
- Maintaining prescription files and recording issuance of narcotics, poisons and habit-forming drugs.
- Storing and preserving vaccines,



serums and other drugs subject to deterioration.
- Supplying non-prescription medicines, diagnostic and therapeutic aids to patients and customers.
- Assisting with customer service queries.
- Maintaining all dispensary stock needs through detailed ordering.
- Placing orders for dispensary stock using the dispense software.

Ensures compliance with all State and Federal pharmacy guidelines while providing leadership within the pharmacy.
