Your New Role

Start your career with Westpac’s Business & Wealth Graduate Program and gain hands‑on experience from day one while helping support real customers, businesses, and communities.

Business & Wealth is focused on building trusted relationships with customers and supporting their goals, growth, and financial wellbeing. By combining data, insight, and expertise, we deliver simple, effective solutions that help customers succeed. As a graduate, you’ll work with teams that support businesses of all sizes, contribute to customer outcomes, and help shape the future of banking.

What can you expect as a Business & Wealth Graduate?

This is a 15-month program with 3 x 5-month rotations.

Throughout the program, you’ll gain exposure to different teams and work on meaningful projects that contribute to real customer and business outcomes. You'll have the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the banking industry while exploring where your interests and strengths align.

You may gain experience across a variety of areas within Business & Wealth, including:

- SME & Small Business - supporting small business customers and how they grow
- Commercial Banking - working with larger and more complex businesses
- Private Wealth - supporting clients with their banking and wealth needs
- Business Lending - learning how finance supports business growth




- Business Transaction Banking - helping businesses manage payments and cashflow
- Specialised Sales - gaining exposure to specialist customer segments
- Chief Operating Office - building experience in strategy and insights
- Pacific Banking - gaining exposure to customers and communities across Pacific markets

Throughout your rotations, you'll build practical skills, broaden your commercial understanding, and develop valuable relationships across the bank. The experience will help you discover where you can make the greatest impact and shape a career path that aligns with your aspirations.

Future Career Opportunities

The Business & Wealth Graduate Program provides a solid foundation for a long-term career in banking, relationship management, strategy, and business growth. Depending on your interests and experience, you may move into customer‑facing roles, product roles or business support roles.

Locations

This program is offered in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane.

If you’re based in a regional area or another state and interested in Business & Wealth, we encourage you to explore our Regional, Commercial & Agribusiness Graduate Program.

Eligibility

- You must be in your final year of study of a university degree, or
- You have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, but it must be no more than three years ago.
- You also need to be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident when you apply.

You will need to be available to start with us as a permanent employee in February 2027.
