Purchasing Officer

Join our dynamic National Parts Department and play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory across our business. We’re looking for a detail‑driven Purchasing Officer who can manage supplier relationships, maintain optimal stock levels, and keep our purchasing operations running efficiently.

What You’ll Do

- Manage the purchasing of parts and associated products in line with stock control KPIs.
- Review exception reports to action backorders, low‑stock items, and urgent VOR requirements.
- Place orders through supplier portals or email and ensure timely follow‑up.
- Liaise with suppliers to improve delivery performance and update ETA information.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure freight forwarders receive complete shipment documentation.
- Upload and maintain sea‑freight shipment data, including costs, ETAs, and container logs.
- Maintain accurate records in line with Quality Assurance requirements.
- Support a clean, organised, and professional working environment.

About You

- Experience in purchasing or inventory operations.
- Strong understanding of inventory fundamentals (stock turn, safety stock, MOQ, forecasting).
- Knowledge of international inbound freight processes.
- Confident user of MS Office and computer‑based purchasing systems.
- Strong communication skills with a positive, team‑focused attitude.
- Ability to analyse information, solve problems, and communicate clearly.
