Family Business Association (FBA) is the peak body for family businesses across Australia and New Zealand, supporting families in business to grow and thrive.
About The Role
This full‑time role focuses on research, content development, speaker coordination and program planning for FBA’s major conference portfolio.
- Research family business trends, identify themes and recommend speakers.
- Develop engaging conference programs and session concepts.
- Coordinate speakers, facilitators and MCs, ensuring they are briefed, prepared and aligned with each event’s purpose.
- Prepare program materials, run sheets, MC scripts, speaker information and AV plans.
- Coordinate presentation requirements and work with onsite teams to guarantee professional, seamless sessions.
- Collaborate with teams to bring events to life and turn research into well executed conference experiences.
About You
You are a highly organised professional with experience in conference program development, speaker coordination, content curation and education programming.
- Strong research skills, ability to identify themes and shape content into engaging, practical programs.
- Excellent writing skills; confident preparing speaker briefs, session descriptions and MC scripts.
- Clear,
professional communication and confidence working with speakers, facilitators, senior leaders and experts.
- Detail‑focused, calm under pressure, able to manage multiple deadlines and keep projects moving.
- Collaborative and practical approach; comfortable with both program development and operational detail.
- Experience in a member association, professional body, conference environment, education provider or not‑for‑profit organisation highly regarded.
- Interest in family business issues such as succession, governance, leadership, next generation and business transition valued.
