I have a couple of great new opportunities for Senior Platform Engineers in Sydney, who can design and build enterprise-grade AWS environments.

We’re ideally after seniors but could consider a strong mid level engineer also.

This business is the gold standard for AI and AI advisory. Now an OpenAI and Anthropic partner – they’re not only building products/platforms but also running after‑care/support for their clients.

These are not DevOps roles. They’re closer to AWS platform/solutions engineering, focused on designing and standing up AWS environments from first principles, including account structure, IAM, networking, and service selection.

There’s less emphasis on running CI/CD pipelines and more on building scalable, enterprise‑grade AWS platforms.

This is about hands‑on engineering with some consulting also.

Weekly Breakdown

- 30–40% architecture and design (account structure, services, trade‑offs)




- 20–30% hands‑on platform build / implementation
- 10–20% internal contributions (standards, mentoring, reviews)
- Deep AWS fundamentals across IAM, networking, and account design — not just one area
- Ability to design production‑ready solutions, not just architect in theory
- Comfortable discussing technical trade‑offs directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Platform and cloud engineering background — not a pure dev with some AWS exposure

Qualifications

- Prioritising platform/cloud engineers with robust AWS fundamentals (IAM, networking, account design).
- A full‑stack developer with AWS exposure does not fit the role.
- Seeking someone who can operate across platform, architecture, and delivery.
