The Role

We're looking for an AI Engineer who combines deep technical fluency in large language models with a product-oriented mindset. You'll own the full lifecycle of AI-powered features — from problem discovery through architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration based on real-world outcomes. This is a hands‑on role in a small, high‑autonomy team building production agentic systems at scale. You'll work across the stack: designing multi‑agent architectures, building platform primitives, shipping user-facing features, and running the infrastructure that powers it all.

What you’ll do

AI Systems & Multi‑Agent Architecture

- Design and implement production multi‑agent systems (orchestration, routing, memory, tool use)
- Build and maintain LLM pipelines — prompt engineering, RAG, fine‑tuning, guardrails
- Own evaluation frameworks: correctness, cost, latency, safety
- Select and integrate models (commercial APIs, open-source, self-hosted)

Product Mindset & Feature Ownership

- Own features end‑to‑end: from understanding user needs through to shipping and measuring outcomes
- Collaborate with product and design to scope MVPs, iterate rapidly, and validate hypotheses
- Make pragmatic trade‑offs between speed and quality — know when to ship and when to polish
- Drive technical decisions with user impact in mind, not just engineering elegance
- Contribute to product discovery: identify opportunities where AI can solve real problems

Full‑Stack Delivery

- Build web applications and APIs (TypeScript, Node.js, React)
- Design and evolve database schemas (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse)
- Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes and serverless platforms
- Write clean, tested, well‑documented code that others can maintain

Platform Engineering

- Build reusable AI platform primitives — agent runtimes, observability, shared tooling
- Design APIs and data contracts consumed by other services and teams
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform/Helm), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Cloudflare Workers)
- Own reliability: monitoring, alerting,

What You Bring

Must Have

- 4+ years shipping production software, with 2+ years focused on AI/ML systems
- Strong TypeScript and/or Python — you write idiomatic, production-quality code
- Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, or equivalent)
- Experience building agentic workflows — multi‑step reasoning, tool use, state management
- ML and model tuning experience (SageMaker, Weights & Biases, Hugging Face)
- ML/LLMOps: ELT and data management for ML workflows, ML/AI evaluation, prompt versioning, A/B testing
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred) — you can deploy what you build
- Product sensibility — you think about user outcomes, not just technical correctness

Nice to Have

- Kubernetes, Helm, Cloudflare Workers / Durable Objects, Terraform
- SIP and Voice applications (Kamilio, RTP, voice agents)
- Startup or founding‑engineer experience — you've built from zero
