Position Summary

CPB Contractors is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major data centre project in Melbourne, supporting hyperscale and enterprise clients driving the next wave of digital and AI-enabled growth.

This is not a maintenance role. You will drive construction, MEP integration and commissioning across a complex, high value build, leading large teams and setting the pace on programme, performance and outcomes.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the full lifecycle delivery of a hyperscale data centre, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Lead end to end project delivery across time, cost, quality and safety
- Manage multidisciplinary teams across construction, MEP and commissioning
- Drive programme, sequencing and interface management across multiple work packages




- Oversee subcontractors and trade partners to ensure performance and alignment
- Manage key stakeholder relationships across client, design and commercial teams
- Lead delivery through testing, commissioning and practical completion
- Ensure robust governance, reporting and commercial performance
- Build and lead high performing teams, driving accountability and outcomes

Qualifications

- Degree qualified in engineering, construction or related discipline
- Proven experience delivering data centre or mission critical projects
- Strong understanding of MEP intensive environments and building services integration
- Experience managing complex, multi package projects at scale
- Commercially astute, with strong cost, risk and contract management capability
- Confident leader with the ability to drive performance across large teams
