About the Role

Marist‑Sion College is seeking a registered teacher to join our supportive, inclusive team. The successful applicant will teach a specific year level and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

A registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. The applicant must have the right to work in Australia, be subject to background checks, and provide a current VIT registration.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Planning and implementing a range of teaching programs.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting student progress in key learning areas.
- Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
- Teaching an area of the curriculum to a specific year level.
- Implementing effective student management consistent with the College strategic plan.
- Supervising a range of activities, including support and welfare programs.




- Modeling exemplary classroom practice and mentoring or coaching other teachers in the College to engage in critical reflection on their practice and to support staff in expanding their capacity.
- Assisting staff in using student data to inform teaching approaches that enable targets related to improving student learning outcomes to be achieved.
