Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a School Psychologist to join our team on our South Yarra campus. This ongoing role will be part‑time either 0.6FTE to 0.8FTE.

The School Psychologist plays a key role in nurturing the wellbeing of the students at Melbourne Grammar School. The School Psychologist will develop a full understanding of, and play a significant role in, the safety, support and pastoral care needs of students and provide support to staff where required.

The incumbent will be part of the team of dedicated psychologists and learning strategists, and will be required to work at Senior School. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary approach, all colleagues strive to proactively meet the needs of our students and foster a culture of support.

This role will see you

- Counsel students to promote emotional and psychological wellbeing
- Conduct assessments as required
- Manage assessment and diagnosis of learning difficulties, special needs and emotional needs and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders V (DSM V) childhood disorders
- Assist with formulation of behavioural modification programmes
- Collaborate and communicate openly with families, teachers and other staff in the management of learning and behaviour
- Prepare written psychological and/or educational assessment reports
- Assist with whole‑school group intellectual (Years 5, 7 and 9) and scholarship testing programme

Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Employee Working with Children Clearance
