Freshmax are global produce distributors and packers with specialist expertise in the import and export of fresh fruit and vegetables.
We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our busy and dynamic team in a full-time capacity as a Store Person / Forklift Operator located in Rocklea, Brisbane, QLD.
This role offers a unique opportunity to receive on-the-job training to become a Ripener, developing specialist skills in the management and conditioning of fresh produce while supporting our warehouse and ripening operations.
We are looking for energetic, self-motivated candidates with a great "Can Do" attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
Reporting to the Ripening Manager, your main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Manage stock movements, including receival and dispatch of stock.
- Packing line operations, including in-feed stock and stock clearance.
- Pick and pack goods for customer orders.
- Stock replenishment and correct pallet stacking.
- Checking orders and raising discrepancies.
- Staging and storing stock in cool rooms.
- Load and unload vehicles using a forklift.
- Assist with ripening operations and monitoring fruit quality as part of your training and development.
- General cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned by the manager.
All About You
- Previous experience working in a busy warehouse environment (advantageous).
- Ripening experience will be highly regarded and considered an advantage.
- Must hold a current Forklift Licence (mandatory).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
- Committed to safe work practices and correct manual handling techniques at all times.
