The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this Payroll Officer position will see you supporting the end-to-end payroll function for a medium to large, fast-paced workforce. You'll play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, Awards and EBA's.

Key Responsibilities
- Process full end-to-end payroll in line with relevant legislation, Awards, EBA's and company policies
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee details, leave balances and pay adjustments
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of salaries, Superannuation and other employee entitlements
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting and audit requirements
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and skilled manner
- Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in full end-to-end payroll processing
- Previous experience working in a similar Payroll Officer role
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, Awards and EBA's
- Exposure to large payroll systems; experience with iChris will be highly regarded but is not essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across the business
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a quick-paced setting
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines
- Intermediate Excel skills will be highly regarded
