The role of Transport Scheduler is to schedule trucks in support to the Transport Manager and ensure administration tasks are delegated effectively within the Transport Administrative team. This includes scheduling and routing vehicles, coordinating with drivers and other transportation staff, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
The Transport Scheduler is also responsible for tracking and documenting transportation activities and ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Transport Scheduler may assist in managing transportation costs, analysing transportation data and identifying opportunities for improvement. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders are key for success in this role.
