About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, full-time Butcher to join our team behind the counter. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the trade and takes genuine satisfaction in producing premium cuts, eye-catching displays and value-added products our customers can't get anywhere else. Early starts are part of the job – you'll be setting the standard for the day before the doors even open – and this is a permanent, full time position with stable hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing, trimming and cutting premium meat products to a consistently high standard

- Producing value-added and made-in-house products

- Preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently

- Creating attractive, well-merchandised meat displays

- Assisting customers with product selection, portions and cooking advice

- Delivering outstanding, friendly customer service every time

- Maintaining food safety and HACCP standards

- Stock rotation, waste minimisation and, where appropriate,



ordering and inventory control

- Cleaning equipment and keeping the department spotless and well-presented

- Working closely with the wider store team and contributing ideas to keep improving the department

About You

- Experienced in retail or supermarket butchery, with strong knife skills and pride in your workmanship

- A genuine passion for premium fresh food and doing things the right way

- Excellent communicator with a strong customer service focus

- Reliable, punctual and comfortable with early starts

- A team player who pitches in and looks out for their colleagues

- High attention to detail and a real commitment to food safety

- Able to keep pace and stay sharp in a busy, fast-moving environment

- Positive, hands-on, and always looking for ways to improve
