Working within a small processing operation, you will play a key role in both operating and maintaining fixed plant equipment. This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who enjoys variety and being involved in all facets of site operations.
Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring crushing and processing equipment
- Completing daily pre‑start inspections
- Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting activities
- Assisting with fixed plant breakdowns and repairs
- Supporting safe and efficient plant performance
- Contributing to general site activities and housekeeping
- Working collaboratively with production and maintenance teams
About the Candidate
Trade qualification essential (Mechanical Fitter or Electrician preferred). Previous experience in a processing plant,
wash plant, crushing or mineral processing environment. Solid fixed plant maintenance knowledge. Ability to troubleshoot and identify plant issues. Current manual driver’s licence. Strong commitment to safety. Ability to work independently within a small operation.
Work Environment
Permanent full‑time position. $130,000 - $140,000 + Super. 5 weeks annual leave. 8/6 roster. Day shift only (6am – 6pm). Flights provided from Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns. Small team environment with varied responsibilities. Long‑term career opportunity.
