The Role - Design Draftsperson

From optimising existing designs to creating innovative new concepts, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with clients, our engineering teams, and Group companies, to deliver quality outcomes. Responsibilities

- Preparing 3D models and technical drawings including detail and assembly drawings, bill of materials, general arrangement, sub-assembly, and component drawings.
- Conducting site inspections of client sites alongside experienced drafters and engineers.
- Working with clients to develop conceptual design solutions to diverse problems.
- Assisting in project costing, tenders and quote preparation.
- Complying with the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures.
- Adhering to drafting legislation, technical and legal requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

- Certificate IV of Engineering Drafting, or, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in relevant Engineering Drafting (Civil/Mechanical/Structural)
- More than three years of drafting experience including heavy manufacturing industries and or consulting.
- Demonstrated use of modelling and drafting in the Autodesk environment (e.g. AudoCAD, Inventor, Autodesk Revit and or Advanced Steel).




- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- High level of relevant computer literacy including MS Office applications and Drafting software and reporting systems.
- Current drivers licence

About the Position

- Position Type: 6 months, full-time contract, with potential for permanent position for the right candidate
- Reports To: Group Leader - Drafting
- Location: Advitech office, located in the Emergent Group Headquarters, Newcastle. Flexible work practices apply for this role.
