Role Description
This part‑time, on‑site Bookkeeper Extraordinaire role is based in Penrith, NSW. The position involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reconciling journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the preparation of financial statements. The role includes daily use of accounting software to record transactions, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, and generate reports for internal and client use. The bookkeeper will collaborate closely with accountants and client service team members, respond to client queries, and help implement efficient bookkeeping processes that support informed decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day‑to‑Day Bookkeeping: Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, payroll processing, and accurate data entry.
- BAS & IAS Preparation: Assist with the preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS, ensuring compliance with ATO regulations.
- Payroll Processing: Process payroll accurately and in line with relevant awards.
- Cash Flow & Reporting:
Help businesses understand their financial position by maintaining accurate records and preparing financial reports.
- Software & Technology: Work with Xero to manage bookkeeping efficiently, leveraging cloud‑based solutions for improved processes.

- A qualified and experienced bookkeeper with strong attention to detail.

- Confident using Xero and other cloud‑based accounting software
- Organised , reliable, and committed to delivering quality work for clients.
- A problem solver with a keen eye for process improvement and business efficiency.
Must‑Haves:
- Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative, client‑focused approach.
- Cert IV in Bookkeeping or higher qualification.
- 4 years or more of experience in bookkeeping, payroll, BAS preparation, and financial reporting.
- Ability to work in our Blaxland office – this is NOT a remote role.
