This role is on a 19:9 rotation to our Perdaman Project in Karratha, WA.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Preservation Coordinator to lead and coordinate all preservation activities across the project. Reporting to the Construction team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the preservation program to ensure that equipment, materials and systems are protected throughout construction, storage and pre-commissioning in accordance with project specifications, vendor requirements and industry standards.
You will work closely with Construction, Warehouse, QA/QC, Commissioning and subcontractors to ensure preservation activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the project's preservation program from material receipt through to handover for commissioning.
- Develop, maintain and monitor preservation schedules, plans and registers to ensure compliance with project and vendor requirements.
- Coordinate preservation activities across construction, warehouse, laydown and subcontractor teams.
- Ensure preservation records and documentation are accurately maintained and readily available for client review and project handover.
- Liaise with Engineering, QA/QC, Construction, Commissioning and vendors to resolve preservation-related technical issues.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify preservation compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Monitor preservation performance, track outstanding activities and provide regular progress reports to project management.
- Ensure preservation materials, consumables and equipment are available and managed effectively.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance preservation processes and project outcomes.
- Promote and maintain compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
Key Requirements
- Ability to work on a 19:9 FIFO roster to Karratha, WA.
- Demonstrated experience as a Preservation Coordinator or in a similar preservation management role on large-scale construction, oil & gas, mining, LNG or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of preservation philosophies, vendor requirements, project specifications and industry standards.
- Experience using preservation management systems and maintaining preservation databases and registers.
- Excellent planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and reporting capabilities.
- High level of organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Previous experience on EPC projects is highly regarded.
