UGL is expanding its workforce at Olympic Dam, South Australia, and we are currently recruiting experienced tradespeople, operators and leading hands for immediate and upcoming starts.

These are active opportunities supporting major construction, maintenance and infrastructure works across both surface and underground areas of the Olympic Dam operation.

About the work

You will join a high-performing team delivering critical construction, maintenance and infrastructure works across the Olympic Dam operation.

Depending on the position and work location, activities may include:

- Fabrication and mechanical installation
- Surface and underground civil construction
- Rail construction and maintenance
- Concrete and formwork




- Rigging and lifting operations
- Crane operations
- Major maintenance and project works

This is an opportunity to work on one of Australia’s most significant resources operations alongside experienced crews in a safety-focused and professionally managed environment.

What we’re looking for

Successful applicants will ideally have:

- Experience in mining, construction, heavy industrial, maintenance or major project environments
- A strong commitment to safety, teamwork and quality workmanship
- Relevant trade qualifications or demonstrated industry experience applicable to the position
- Relevant High Risk Work Licences and industry tickets, where applicable
- Confined Space and Working at Heights qualifications, or the ability to obtain them
- The ability to work effectively within a structured roster and project environment
- Previous Olympic Dam or underground mining experience will be highly regarded but is not essential for every position . Applicants with solid surface construction, maintenance, civil, rail, fabrication, rigging or heavy-industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Leadership applicants should also demonstrate experience

- Leading and supporting work crews
- Coordinating daily work activities
- Planning and allocating resources
- Maintaining high standards of safety, productivity and quality
- Communicating effectively with supervisors, stakeholders and team members
