Here’s What You’ll Be Up To…

- As the Project Coordinator – Parking Management, you’ll play an important role in shaping the future growth of Penrith through the planning and implementation of Council’s parking management projects within the CBD, including a new multi-deck car park.
- Working within our Engineering Services team, you’ll provide provides day-to-day project management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while aligning with Council’s strategic objectives and community expectations.
- You’ll collaborate closely with Council’s Traffic and Transport Engineers, internal teams, contractors, consultants and government agencies to ensure effective contract administration and project success.
- This role offers exposure to one of Council’s largest scale civil infrastructure projects (the Penrith CBD Multi-Deck Car Park), giving you the opportunity to grow your technical capability while making a genuine impact on the City’s future.
- Success in this role means delivering high-quality project outcomes, building strong stakeholder relationships and contributing positively to the Engineering Services team.

Requirements

Essential

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Building Construction or relevant field
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure, community infrastructure or building projects
- Experience in the preparation and evaluation of tenders
- Experience managing consultants and contractors across design and construction phases, including administration of contracts
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently, collaboratively and with a range of stakeholders
- Current Class C Driver licence

Desirable

- Experience working within a Local Government or public sector environment
- Experience delivering parking infrastructure or related projects
- Understanding of legislation as it relates to Local Government and contract management
