About the Role

Reporting to the Enterprise Technology Operations Manager, you will own the operational performance, governance, and continual improvement of Digital Workspace services & technologies across G8 Education.

Working closely with service providers, business stakeholders, and Digital Solutions teams, you'll ensure workplace technologies remain secure, reliable, cost‑effective, and aligned to the evolving needs of the organisation.

This role combines service ownership, vendor management, stakeholder engagement, and technology ownership, making it ideal for someone who enjoys influencing outcomes, driving service excellence, and improving the end‑user experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the performance, operations, and continual improvement of Digital Workspace services across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain the Digital Workspace roadmap, identifying opportunities to enhance service quality and user experience.
- Manage and govern external service providers, ensuring delivery against service levels, contractual commitments, and operational expectations.
- Monitor service performance, analyse trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee Digital Workspace technology assets, software licensing, and lifecycle management activities.
- Provide expert advice and input into technology projects, business initiatives, and operational planning.
- Lead service reporting, governance forums, and performance reviews to support informed decision‑making.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support risk, compliance, security, and audit activities relating to Digital Workspace services.
- Ensure Digital Workspace technologies remain secure, supportable, compliant, and aligned with organisational objectives.

About You

You are a highly collaborative technology professional with a strong service management mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional end‑user experiences.

You bring the ability to balance business needs,



operational performance, user experience, risk, and cost while building strong relationships across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

- Over 5 years’ experience in a senior position overseeing technology service delivery, operational performance, and continuous improvement within medium to large organisations.
- Experience managing outsourced service providers and vendor relationships.
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management principles and continual improvement practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing and supporting Digital Workspace technologies and service management platforms, including ITSM tools (e.g. Freshservice), Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, JAMF, endpoint management, collaboration platforms, and end‑user computing environments.
- Experience managing software licensing, asset management, and service performance reporting.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions and challenge recommendations where appropriate.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance service quality, risk, user experience, and cost optimisation.

Desirable

- ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent experience.
- Technical certifications relevant to Digital Workspace technologies.
- Experience working within outsourced or managed service environments.
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed or multi‑site organisations.
- Exposure to enterprise workplace technology and digital transformation initiatives.
