Financial Analyst (Business Partnering)
- Location: Parramatta / Hybrid
- Employment type: Ongoing Full-Time, 35 hpw
- Grade: Clerk Grade 7/8
- Salary: $116,981 to $129,492 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
An exciting opportunity to join the Business Partner team and play a key role in shaping financial decision-making within a DCJ Division. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and Treasury to provide strategic financial advice, insights and analysis that drive business outcomes.
Ideal for a finance professional with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce or a related discipline, and CPA/CA qualification (or working towards), this role offers the opportunity to influence outcomes, build strong partnerships and contribute to meaningful public sector results.
What you'll do
This is an opportunity to make a real impact by partnering with senior leaders to drive financial performance and informed decision-making across a DCJ Division.
- Provide strategic financial advice, analysis and insights
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Develop ground‑up budgets and monitor financial performance
- Identify risks, opportunities and budget pressures
- Partner with stakeholders to support key business initiatives
- Provide financial guidance and build stakeholder capability
As part of the Strategic Finance Branch, you'll join a collaborative team delivering trusted financial advice that supports DCJ priorities and meaningful community outcomes.
What we're looking for
We're seeking a collaborative and commercially minded finance professional who can deliver high‑quality analysis and insights in a fast‑paced environment.
You will bring:
- Strong financial analysis, reporting and accounting expertise
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills
- Strategic thinking and sound business judgement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
- A team‑focused approach and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience with SAP, Excel and business intelligence tools
