Emergency Medicine Consultant (FACEM)
Various permanent part time positions, up to 38 hours per week (4 shifts per week)

An exciting chance has arisen for experienced Emergency Medicine Consultants to join West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG). Located approximately 100 km (1.5 hours) east of Melbourne, our 24-hour Emergency Department comprises 16 treatment spaces, including two resuscitation bays, and manages more than 27,000 presentations annually, with approximately 25% paediatric.
Consultants are rostered between 7.30 am and 11.00 pm, provide an after-hours on-call service, and work within a well-supported multidisciplinary team. Medical staffing includes Interns, Residents, GP Registrars, an accredited Emergency Medicine Registrar program and a 24/7 Medical Registrar. Additional specialist support is available on call from Physicians, Paediatricians, Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Surgeons and Anaesthetists.
- Fellowship of the Australian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM).
- Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated experience managing adult and paediatric emergency presentations, including advanced resuscitation skills.
IMPORTANT:
Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
