Join Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and help support the delivery of major road infrastructure projects across North Queensland. As a Project Support Officer within our Project Controls team, you will provide project, financial and administrative support to ensure programs are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with governance requirements.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide project, financial and administrative support to project managers and delivery teams.
- Monitor project performance and maintain accurate project information using a range of software, databases and information management systems.
- Interpret and apply financial policies and procedures associated with the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).
- Prepare and coordinate project and program reports to support financial monitoring and performance tracking.
- Assist with project scheduling, accounts payable, accounts receivable, registers, spreadsheets, presentations and reporting activities.
- Support compliance with departmental policies, governance requirements and workplace health and safety obligations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and effective delivery of project control services.
We're looking for a proactive and organised team player with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships. You'll be skilled at managing priorities, solving problems and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast paced environment. Experience in project or financial administration, particularly with SAP and the Microsoft Office Suite, will be highly regarded. Formal qualifications are not essential; however, knowledge of financial policies, procedures and regulations would be advantageous.
Mandatory requirements:
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
- Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal history checks.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
